- Property and financial affairs LPA: £360
- Health and welfare LPA: £360
- Both: £720

The government registration fee
A Lasting Power of Attorney has to be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) before it can be used. The OPG fee is separate from ours. It is £92 for each LPA, so £184 for a pair. The fee is lower or nil for some people. Read how the OPG fee works, or see our separate guide: the OPG fee and who pays less.
Certified copies
A certified copy of a registered LPA is a copy that is certified as a true copy of the original. Banks and other organisations often ask for one. The OPG charges for certified copies, currently £35 each, so it can help to think about how many you will need.
What you get for the fee
The fee covers preparing the documents correctly, guiding you through who should be your attorneys and what powers to give them, and checking everything before it is sent for registration. A form with a mistake can be rejected, which delays things. Getting it right first time is the main benefit of using a professional.
Quick answers
Common questions
Do I need both types of LPA?
Most people do, because they cover different decisions: money and property on one hand, health and care on the other. We recommend both.
Is the OPG fee included in your price?
No. The OPG registration fee is separate and is set by the government.
Is there a discount if I make a will at the same time?
Yes. Our packages combine documents at a lower overall price than buying each separately.
